Is it alright for a guy to text me everyday?

So..here's the thing. I am really confused about what is happening right now. I just got into college for 4 weeks already.. I know this guy who is my friend's friend. We started talking to each other on facebook at first. And things went well. During the 2nd week of college, suddenly he texted me. It was a casual kind of thing. He introduced himself through the text. And I guessed he got my number through my friend. We started texting each other for everyday. And he would tell me the most randomness thing he could ever find. When he is sad, he would text me. When he is mad, he would text me. When he is happy, he would text me. basically, he would text me about anything. Things went on like this until the 4th day we texted. I mentioned this girl's name. Let's just name her X.=) So X is kinda like an open minded kind of person~ She talks about anything to anyone. So I told him that thank goodness he didnt come into our discussion room the day before because X was talking about porns and stuffs like that. He told me that X reminded him of a sad story of his. He met this girl named B and who was some what like X. Open minded. From that moment he told me that, I started teasing him. I teased him with X and he would tease me with another guy who likes me in college~ We keep teasing each other everyday. he asked me that how sure am I that he likes X and not me. He said that a lot of times.I kinda told him that X is his type and I might not be his type.~ And a few days ago, he told me that he likes X already~ And he keeps telling me about X. Not every single text, but certain ones~ There was this time when he was really upset, he texted me. i advised him and at the end of the day, he thanked me and asked for a hug through a text.~ 3 days ago, both of us went to the party of the friend who introduced me to him~ The friend that I mentioned earlier in the first few sentences. He offered me a ride to our friend's house but I refused. After the party ended, everyone left except for my friends and I and his friends and him. I couldnt help but noticed that he kept looking at my direction~ When I left, he left too.~ And after the party, he texted me until he fell asleep.Until now, we text each other everyday~ Every little thing that happens,we text each other. what does this mean? usually, he will be the first to text me.~ And I'd reply to all his texts. And now, he likes X already. i dont know what to do. I feel a lil' heartbroken~ Well..I leave the answers to all of you.=) thanks~
