Foods that provide energy?

I am a runner. I run about 15 miles a week. First of all,never workout on an empty stomach.Energy Bars work great ,like Shot Block by Cliff. Plus they taste very good. Make sure you have plenty of proteins in your diet ex ( egg whites). Fruits are great energy resource,grapefruit is my fave! And most importantly always drink plenty of water when eating an Energy Bar.Staying hydrated will prevent you from passing out.
