How can i style my hair?

i have fairly shortish hair but i wear extensions so my hair goes down to about my hips. I have a middle part and i never know how to style the hair at the front of my face and they are quite short. Does anyone know anyways i can style my hair to make them bits of hair stay looking nice all day?
